Guigsy
Im looking for some advice from people who work in this field. Im considdering changing my job as im a bit fed up with IT Im an arty kind of guy and enjoy building,drawing/photoshopping things especialy when i can stand back at the end of it and say "i did that". Gives me a great fealing of satisfaction which telling people to reboot and resetting peoples passwords doesnt. Ive done a few things with fibreglass and bits and bobs here and there just at home with my limited space and resources but i want and need to learn more. I obviously dont have access to bodyshop facilities in my house Now i assume you need some kind of qualifications to work in a bodyshop. Ive checked out the collages and things arround my area and they do mechanical things but nothing bodywork related. I dont know where to look. What do you guys with garrages/buisnesses that do bodywork look for when hireing people? I dont want to go down the road of doing courses and things that are useless (been there before with uni!). Idealy id love to just learn while i work and have someone show me the ropes, however i realise thats a bit of a dream and probably wont hapen! Any advice is welcome!
