Bending the truth in car ads

Everyday I look through pitonheads, autotrader, exchange & mart etc at various cars and lately the amount of times I'll see the same car appear a few days/weeks later with a new high price and bullsh*t reason behind selling is getting rather annoying! I'm all for someone taking a cheap car, fixing it up and making a profit but when they blatently lie in the ad and do nothing with the car it pees me off :)

These 2 I've picked out,

first was on ebay for £1500ono 2/3 weeks ago, it appeared a few days later on ph for double the price with the same problems, the pics on ebay were in what looked like a scrap yard and the car was covered in mud and looked like it had been sitting there a for very long time and it was still unregistered I believe

2nd,

this was on autotrader about a month ago from a trade seller for £1100, again a bs reason on how he got it.

If they had just advertised the cars without the crap reasons behind them i'd be cool with it but it makes me weary about wanting to deal with someone like that :)

Says the car trader, nobody else allowed to make money?;)

Of course which is why I put this :)

but it annoys me when they don't do anything to solve the issues with the cars :(

I'm not trading anymore btw ;)

In storage = sitting in a scrappy?

going by the pics that were in the ebay ad a few weeks ago yep :) and seeing as it has 6 months mot, I suspect the previous owner mot'd and left it in the yard all that time for whatever reason and never registered it

like I say it's not the fact they're making a profit, it's just the lies behind the ad
