Multics
Might be a bit of a dumb question but I want to understand something. Let's imagine a turbocharged engine at idle, there's a vaccuum in the intake manifold. As soon as the throtlle body opens a bit, is that vaccuum transfered to the IC piping all the way to the turbo's compressor wheel? The reason I'm asking is that I need to install a blow of valve which requires a "boost only" source. There is an unused, blocked nipple in the IC piping. I need to know if I can use this as a source for boost only pressure...
Andy Blyth
is that vaccuum transfered to the IC piping all the way to the turbo's compressor wheel? Nope, barely goes below atmospheric pressure, and even then just for the briefest of moments. I need to know if I can use this as a source for boost only pressure... Should be fine.
