stevie_b
And no, I don't mean resorting to your usual sacred stash of glossies under the bed. Either you've been round to my house or you're psychic! (oops, you weren't talking to me were you?)
cheekymonkey
I sometimes have issues getting to sleep, but I picked up a "hypnosis" book/CD from waterstones a few weeks ago. Was only a fiver or so (reduced) by Paul McKenna. It has a lot of good ideas and techniques in the book and the CD is quite good too. It's about 20 minutes long, and I have no idea how it ends as I keep falling asleep http://www.amazon.co.uk/Can-Make-You-Sleep-Book/dp/0593055381

Branners
There was an article in the paper yesterday saying you should turn on a fan in the bedroom, the continual hum takes your mind off whats going on around it. If you cannot sleep within 20 minutes of turning the light out they say you should get out of bed and go and do something for an hour and then try again. I also find sleeping with the light on helps, dont know why. Oh, and dont watch TV in the bedroom before you go to sleep, and dont play computer games before bed either. ManwithSupra
Night Nurse. And if you manage to stay awake with that then you have some serious issues. Yeah this will defo work. I was ill once at work with the flu and i asked anyone if they had some flu tablets etc, someone came back and said i only have the night time night nurse pills. As i have not taken them before i thought i would be a little bit sleepy maybe a little drowsy....... but after 20 mins i was really struggeling to focus on my screen and i couldn't really talk properly i was really slurred and it was really difficult to stay awake and keep my eyes open. So i decided to go to the coffee machine and drink 4 espresso's which helped a bit but for 4 hours i could not really do anything at all lol.
