Shovels
This has probably been asked a thousand times, but as time tends to push technology forward I would really like to know what's the best radar detector out at the moment.

SUPRALOOPY
I've got an interceptor and thats ok for the money £200 but it does get annoying at traffic lights until it goes into auto quite mode :-)
supRo
The only thing I don't like about the Road angel is it sometimes takes a while to connect - When it's heavy overcast I usually stick it out of the window for it to connect quicker. I guess you would benefit from an aerial on the supe. Spring/summer - it'll be fine. Build quality aint too great. My first curly lead died but they did send a fee one in the post. The power connector bit on the unit has become a bit loose. Overall - I'd go for it

Shovels
Thanks guys, I was almost certainly going to go for a road angel, that was until I spoke to Spyda. As I'm going to be putting a carputer in, apparently you can add software/hardware for radar detection, etc.
Chase
Yes Shovels, that's right. I'm not sure if the free camera database is as comprehensive as the commercial ones though (think the free one is up to about 6000 cameras), but for the difference in price I'm prepared to risk it. There was a feature on it on 5th Gear last Monday if you saw it.

Todd
I use the free one with Tom Tom and it's great, OK it won't highlight the guys out with the guns but it does show the usual locations they hide at. There is also this http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/ Which is a free plug in and it's great as well.
