Pot
1) They are obviously sexual. Satisfying, but not sexual? That's odd. 2) You can't make them at home You can, I have, and made better than at my local shop (On the downside it was more hassle, and cost more) 3) There is two words to say when you order it (so its great when you are p!ssed) "Doner" then when they say "chilli sauce salad?" all you say is "yeah". Only if you're used to the stereotype, if you have a custom order, designed to your refined standards, it's a bit more difficult... But if you're a regular at your local k.shop, they'll know what you're slurring at them
Carl_S
When you say refined standards.. give us an idea of how you tweak it in the custom order. Facinating. Also care to share the kebab recipe? I stand corrected!
erol_h
it all depends to which kebab shop you go to ive been to some very good ones where they know how to speak proper english and comunicate properly instead of just saying chilli sauce salad. I hate the idiots that just crawled out of a cave from a mountain stink of B.O and can barely speak english and oh ive seen them do some dodgy stuff. Carl_S
For me the whole cave thing is part of the fun. Never knew anything else existed. BTW, never got close enough to smell their B.O. mate.
erol_h
Im an engineer so i go to alot of kebab shops so im close enough to smell but you dont really need to be that close to some of them. I also see what state the places is in and how clean it is thats why i only go to places i know and trust.
Carl_S
Fair play, but what makes engineers need to eat more kebabs than the rest of us?
erol_h
i always get offerd free food when i go to these places but alot of the time i usually recline as its not as clean as should be.
Lbm
Right I'm back from my local shop. Only a large one tonight- I didn't have the heart to ask for Super Large. Still all the usual suspects were there to keep my meaty nan feast company- I do like the blend of chilli & mint sauce. About the photos- I couldn't be bothered. I was hungry, however I may add some to this thread at a later date or start a "what does your kebab look like?" thread. I suspect they'll all look the same. Carl_S
That thread title sounds fun. If you take a pic of it, just make sure it's not badly packed.

Carl_S
So long as I will definitely get it, I don't mind travelling for a decent kebab. Life's too short to turn something like that down.
erol_h
Ive been to all of the places ive listed above and they are very clean and they use proper meat no dodgy stuff. Also whatever is not used goes in the bin unlike some who refreeze leftover doner and put it back on at a later date when needed.
Carl_S
Have you ever looked at a kebab and though no, I'm not going to eat that? Or have you ever had your tongue inside the meat and thought, sod this, and actually stopped eating? Sounds like you are big into quality.. erol_h
Majority of the food i get from work is free as i work mostly at restaurants and such. Sometimes if the food is crap i just throw it away havnt lost anything and yeah ive had a few kebabs that are just too greasy or taste dodgy i just bin it.
