Lbm
Is it a gig in honour of some rocket firing rebels? Then no. Or is it for a bunch of regular people like you & me? Then go.
Thorin
So in total £700 plus flight. Bargain. Can we all club together and pay for his flight to Israel Gaza?
bigcol
I'm reluctant to do it as I will feel like I am collaborating with a rogue nation. here we go again, blame the Israelis again;) I have been offered a job working in Gaza itself (on the Israeli side) as CP security for the media services working out there, just negotiating money and insurance, i have no problem in going the Israelis are the nicest people you want to meet (unless your palistinian or you pi$$ them off ) just try it you may even like it

bigcol
Would not like to be associated with Israel in any way what so ever after there recent murdereous and illegal missions. here speaks the voice of reason, coming from a country that has raped, pillaged and stolen from every other country known to man for hundreds and hundreds of years (i.e. Great Britain) pot/kettle etc etc
bigcol
SSSHHHHHH! they'll hear you;) Mossad would have picked up on that before i wrote it, they would just use their special "thought ray"
Carl_S
I am a man of my word. One would seem like it is a good deal eh Dave? I could do with the cash. I spend a lot of time among Jewish people and I find them to be just like us. I am frustrated when I hear people speaking out against them just becuase of their race. Unless i am mistaken, i dont think anyone has spoken out against jewish people causing the atrocities.
Carl_S
Not here Axle, not here. In real life. We are a very well behaved and respectful and intelligent collection of people on this forum, and I would not expect there to be that kind of ignorance here. Jamesy W
I'd do it. Easy money is hard to come by. With all due respect, feck the Gaza appeal. Feed you and your family first.
bigcol
feck the Gaza appeal. I agree totally, its his own fault the soft, alcoholic, geordie puff, give him nothing he will only spend it on booze and drugs will our gazza. So ignore the appeal
n boost
here speaks the voice of reason, coming from a country that has raped, pillaged and stolen from every other country known to man for hundreds and hundreds of years (i.e. Great Britain) pot/kettle etc etc But unforunately i am born in this country you describe and live by the law of the landand can not change this. Obviously i dont live in Israel and if i did then i would still be against the recent events as not all jews were in favour of there countrys recent actions just the zionist's mainly. But given a choice now i would deffo not have any links with Israel what so ever as what they did was very wrong and well out of order with no respect for human life or any UN so called safe houses. Pete
My old school mate is in Israel at the moment, has been for over a year designing a new private jet. He's not concerned about what's going on at all and isn't worried about his safety as he knows that "the other side don't have any weapons with long enough range". Charlotte
I would. My dad spent two years there (ending last year). During that time there was some fighting in Gaza but didn't affect day to day life in Israel.

Does he live in a private bubble, unattached to the world outside, immune to what's going on around him? "Comfortably numb" I think they call it

"Comfortably numb" I think they call it No, just not under threat. He works at the airport too. He's a pretty chill guy too. I guess unless you're there it's hard to relate to it. aido
What sort of music do you play? I'd do it. Went to Nigeria when all the kidnappings were going on and loved it out there! Week after I got back there was an ambush at the club we went to and about 8 people were killed though! You could get knifed over here at the minute or hit by a bus - might as well have it happen somewhere different?
bondango
If the Gig was is in Jabalia, Rafah, Nuseirat, Khan Younis, Bureij, Maghazi or Deir el-Balah I would do it for free, especially if given a chance at the Beach camp - Psytrance set there me thinks

Nick
I have some friends that worked there for a few months and they really liked it. Only downside was airport security, which is a real PITA.
