AndrewOW
hmmmmmmm Indeed. All they need now is Kochanski in it, and that would be that. EDIT: Just got that far. She'll do

AJI
yep, not as good as hoped for. The 'canned laughter' was missing. It somehow adds to the whole Red Dwarf atmosphere.

Pete
I enjoyed it. It's a rare thing for a show to have a break for such a long period and come back with the actors/characters all as they left off. Thank God no Kochanski - I couldn't stick her. Claire Grogan was great - but that last one. Ugh! Where's holly?
AndrewOW
Where's holly? That is a very good point, and was such an important character for the show IMO. I watched a couple of the older episodes straight after and they were miles better too
Pot
Episodes 1,2 & 3 Repeated Bank Holiday Monday 13th April 9:00pm to 10:30pm. And as it's Dave, repeated forever and ever and ever, and then a whole load more, until our eyes have bled so much we've cooled the core of the earth, causing it to stop spinning, and despite attempts by former astronauts in some funky sub with nuclear bombs, it won't spin again, because our sobbing blood will be thicker than molten lava, and all life on earth will die... Cheers Dave. C@nt.
jamesmark
Just finished watching these, I have just wasted 90 mins of my life. Utter rubbish.
AndrewOW
Just finished watching these, I have just wasted 90 mins of my life. Utter rubbish. I watched the first part and probably laughed once, but quite fancied the female hologram (but not what she said), and then watched about 5mins of the second part and deleted it. Just watch the re-runs of the older stuff. Its a million times better.
Al Massey
I wasnt impressed either. The 1st one was mildly funny and it just went down hill from there. The making of was more funny than the 3 parter
R3DG3CKO ROB
I don't know what that was but it wasn't Red dwarf! I'm a massive RD fan and can watch the old ones over and over (even the last two seasons) but that was utter rubbish! I even turned it over half way through the last episode so the missus coud watch a chick flick, that's how terrible it was... It was essentially a un-funny version of back to reality set to the Blade Runner storyline? What were they thinking? total g*sh!
AndrewOW
I think it was a victim of a big budget (where were the cardboard sets etc), too many 'cooks', and an arrogant attitude of how good it 'was', to be successful IMO. It had a lot to live up to, and failed.
R3DG3CKO ROB
All they had to do was stick to the old recipe and it would have been awesome... Why the hell we ended up with fictionial characters interacting with actors from corronation street I don't know...
tbourner
I don't know what that was but it wasn't Red dwarf! I'm a massive RD fan and can watch the old ones over and over (even the last two seasons) but that was utter rubbish! I wanted to go on 'You Bet' when I was at school cos I could hear any line from RD and tell you who said it, the name of the episode and what the next line was! I didn't like the last 2 series though. I think it was a victim of a big budget (where were the cardboard sets etc), too many 'cooks', and an arrogant attitude of how good it 'was', to be successful IMO. True, which is why I didn't like the last 2 series. The first lot were low budget and not really important enough so they were just having a laugh basically. When the proper scriptwriters came in after they realised how much money was in it the actors were obviously told what to do rather than ad-libbing their own bits - and with Starbug no longer being on strings it made it all a bit pants. These 3 episodes are just another step on that scale. Shame. And why did they keep talking about series 10? This was series 9 wasn't it? AlexM
This was probably the most dissapointing TV series I've watched in years, total waste.
R3DG3CKO ROB
And why did they keep talking about series 10? This was series 9 wasn't it? Very good point I'd forgotten aboout that, the tripe they dumped on us this weekend was def series 9, I thought I'd missed something... It would apear so not sure why he didn't get involved, maybee he thought it would be a disaster...
QSC
Just looked him up on wikipedia - says he didn't want to die and just have Red Dwarf inscribed on his tombstone - he knew when enough was enough I guess....
Branners
I watched it last night and it was awful. The first part had some scope to do something useful but the 2nd and 3rd part did nothing. It's almost as if a different person wrote each episode. And to ruin the whole thing by making them realise they were just characters was pretty poor. Im sure there was a film with exactly the same story line, I just cannot remember it. If they had stuck to the 'getting' home bit of it then it might have worked. I could also have accepted it if there was hope of another series but that was the last red dwarf ever, what a sad demise.
ManwithSupra
Watched the 3 episodes last night...... FAIL
