Matt H
Thats the reason. IIRC, the car has had the rear quarter and rear panel from a non-aero breaker welded on to replace the damaged panels. From the pics posted in the for sale thread it showed the panels that had been replaced. Provided the chassis legs of the cat c car have been straighted or replacements welded in correctly it shouldn't be an issue. It's been for a VIC check (hasn't it Matt?) so any unsafe repair would have been identitied there. So long as if matt comes to sell it he informs any potential buyer it's a cat C repaired I don't see the issue. Edit - nevermind Cheers Homer. It certainly has, had the inspection at the VIC station and everything was satisfactory. Then straight to the DVLA office with my confirmation slip to buy the road tax. Got my new log book through the post on the original number plate. Please guys keep the thread on topic, I've just had to prune 73 posts of drivel from just today. Thanks Mike Cheers Mike, appriciate it I couldnt care less if it was 1,2 or 17 cars sellotaped together, it looks nice Good work michel Cheers rob Best comment in this thread thus far. Looking good mate Won't be long now by the sounds of it No, few weeks now. Michel is going to keep it for a while to run the engine in and drive it around to make sure everything is spot on before i get it back. Great service Well done Matt for seeing this project through, should be a stunner when complete. Cheers Stu, all well that ends well
michel lane
A question, surely a rear quarter and rear panel would be the the same on an aerotop. I dont see what the big deal is, if its been repaired properly then people should leave it at that. A question, is that turbo water cooled? Is that the way the water is normally fed? the turbo is a GT35R it is water cooled. Ian made a fitment on the water neck so he could have a direct route to the side feed of the turbo, rather then up and over .

michel lane
I have great news, Ryan was up for the weekend and mapping went pretty well. The car has now been tuned to 1.3 bar and it runs rather sweet. We expect the car is around 480-500hp compared to other cars that both of us have done. The waiting process is nearly over for Matt now, Ian the machanic has done an excellent job in putting the car together and the combination of parts work very well with the auto setup . He currently runs a built autobox that we have put together which several board members run aswell. The car produces a fantastic sound from the tial wastegate and the antisurge housing of the GT35R. At present the car needs a few finishing amendment to it, such as front & rear strut bars and aerotop cabin brace. These aerotop flex so much. During the install of Matts car, I have to say its been a challange for both myself and Ian , as the car had to be reworked from start , silly things such as speedo / wiring / km-mph convertors which you presume to work, Dont . You have to be sympathetic for Matt as i personally feel that he has been taken advantage off, from his previous dealings. Matt has been a perfect client and has listen to all recommendations and been very patient with this install. I look forward to him driving his car. Cheers Michel! have to say yesterdays phone call got me very excited indeed talking about how the tune went and getting in back in a couple of weeks. Massive thanks to yourself, Ian and Ryan. I'm truely humbled at the amout of work that's been put into my car over the past months getting it right. Great to see it coming to an end and almost being ready for you to drive away, cant help but think you will be back for a 6 speed box Maybe, but not for a while, need to experiance driving again first for a while before anything else required her off the road again! Great to hear this is very nearly done I can feel another trip to the Bull at Broughton Indeed mate, there's always more that one reason to visit that pub!
