dr_jekyll
hi all, i recently smashed a 94 na-t over a rounderbout traveling at considerable speed within the law ofcorse. amazingly even though the force managed to flatten all 4 wheels the suspension arms and wishbones dont seem to be damaged in any way , but now the car dose not sit level at the front, the rear wheel camber is verry odd ( drivers leans alot more ) the car pulls right and feels horible through corners. i have checked the bushes for play the wishbones measure up to spec and the chassis mounts are perfect , can anybody give me some advise on things to go through to try and get the supesiondand camber back to standard, its on standard suspension all around , thanks

SupraShaun
Maybe a combination of several suspensions components be very 'slightly' bent?
JustGav
Bent dampers.... The list can go on...
Homer
Subframe damaged? hub issue? Could be a lot of things. I had a problem with one of the rear wheels (it was visibly toed in and had huge camber), all the components appeared to measure up and nothing was visibly wrong with them. Later found the hub was very slightly bent, again not visibly so, but after swapping with another unit the wheel was straight again. When comparing the two units and measuring there was no difference, all I can guess is that one of more of the mount points were slightly twisted. dr_jekyll
oh bugger, well iv just found the gude to adjusting the camber so ill try that on the back and have the front tracked, and give that a try , if not looks like the credit card is comeing out again for parts
Pig
Have you had the alignment properly checked yet?
adnanshah247
buckled wheels? if the wheels took impact its a very good chance they could be nackered. take them to any tyre shop for balancing and you be able to tell if there not spinning straight. Dnk
oh bugger, well iv just found the gude to adjusting the camber so ill try that on the back and have the front tracked, and give that a try , if not looks like the credit card is comeing out again for parts Ive recently changed all my suspension arms etc and wish you lots of luck finding the bent parts. There is quite a lot of adjustment camber wise so if somethings bent you might be able to dial it out but whatevers bent will still be bent and potentially weakened by the impact. I'd want to take a much closer look myself rather than re track it etc
Chris Wilson
If it's flattened all 4 wheels I wouldn't trust it until it had had both front and rear subframes replaced with EVERYTING on them, suspension and hub wise. Personally I would think it close to a write off, given the costs involved
DAT Inter
Get it into a specialist or motorsport group who know what they are doing. It just sounds like a death trap at the moment.
dr_jekyll
yep both suframes and all on them are comeing off, and replaced , the rear of the car was striped today and its heartbreaking because all the parts seem to be fine with no signes of stress or anything, but if its changed we no the probs solved
