I've just been looking over on Supra forums, and i'm quite shocked about some of the power fiqures and 1/4 mile times I have seen. One guys sig is claiming 510rwhp from stock twins, and another claims a 10.59 sec 1/4 mile on stock twins. Do they not also have lower octane fuel than us...

The fuel in the US is better than ours afaik :) we measure in RON there's is MON iirc.

Figure wise, I think most use dyno jets? which give quite an inflated figures but they also have mustang dyno's which apparently give more realistic figures, but are probably hardly used because of this :D

Been discussed here a few times...

There ratings are lower as they measure the octane differently but the actual fuel is very similar i believe if you convert it.

The rwhp figures in the usa often relate to the fwhp figures in the UK. And ontop of this any dyno operator can make your car read anything if he wants to.

You can run 11 sec quaters on drag radials and a stripped out car with a propper drag setup. But it would be horrable on a road.

Any drag runs i see from the usa always seem to be going downhill also. I dont know if this is just something that happens to be on a few of the main strips over there but from the cameras you can see it starts to level off/climb after the finish line
