Think more along the lines of a Psychological win:cool: that was a big word for me:D

Is a mirror sticker, USA style, saying:

"Bignums in the rear-view mirror _aren't_ as close as they appear"

:D

Worrying about noise now.

Took the Supra for a country lane spin this morning and it is loud.

When I had it MOT'd it was 87db

what's the track limit, don't wanna drive all the way down to Llandow to find out I can't go on track!

Speak up, I can't hear you over the deafening silence of your car. Seriously, 87 is nothing. Plus they didn't noise-test last time ;)

My petrol lawnmower is 93dB. :p

IMHO only open-to-atmosphere screamer pipes will get towards the track's noise limit which is a self-imposed 105dB, and last year I didn't see them enforce it anyway! ;)

(dB is a logarithmic measurement too, so doubly don't worry about it.)

P.S. this info and more is in the FAQ, page 1 of the Llandow thread (link in my sig).

Are all these bumps working to get more people signed up?;)

Don't worry about making a fool of yourself like I said in a previous post nobody's there to take the piss (it happens on the forum afterwards!). I spun myself 3 times but so what. It's better to learn the limits of the car in the safety of a track with run off etc than on a public road. You only go as fast as YOU want to go. Also there are only a few other cars on the track allowed at any given time and the risk of collision is minimal.

In the afternoon there were a few occasions Tim_B and were the only people on the track. :)

Regarding run-off, as Hogmaw states it is better to find (exceed) the limits on a track rather than a road - but watch for which corners have more run-off than others and do most of your learnng on those ;)

For example, there is the "oh-shi?! lane", which is brilliant and helped me to learn a LOT about my brakes and what happens if you try to turn in under too much braking. The "oh-xxxx" lane a continuation of the main straight, so if -for whatever reason- you don't make the 90 degree left you're supposed to take, you can just straighten the steering back up and use 'plan B' without issue. ;)
