OK well my drag supra was all painted in SBE Viper Blue with house of colour lacquer..Nice, but they forgot to paint the mirrors, windscreen washer jets and door handles!!

i have tried my local Autoquip/Partco and they no longer do paints..WTF!

SO the guy at halfords has now had 7 attempts (Thanks for trying) and i am getting no where with a match!

We have tried BE Viper (Chrysler) blue and its similar but not the same. so now we are randomly trying to match it with all sorts from the colour chart. With no real success!!

The thing is if i give the job to my local paint shop they want £300+ to do it and cant guarantee a match!!!!!

I have learned that the house of colour lacquer may be adding to the problem as it is crystal clear..so i have tried the best lacquer (Apart from House) and still no difference. I am spraying myself from cans and then 3-4 coats of lacquer with a brilliant finish but it never matches good enough...HELP!

when we have that problem in my work we contact the paint company rep. in our case its standox paints. the rep comes out and puts some gadget onto the paintwork on the car and the gadget can tell what matches it the closest and what tinters are used. it has worked well everytime we have needed it. try a company like dingbro or brown brothers (thats who supply us) that supplies paint to the motor trade.its worth a try
