TLicense
The problem with these is that they are created from photo's, or someone who had a model at best. What these guys do with the equipment they've got though is very impressive. We've recently purchased a handheld 3d laser scanner at work, which I'm intending to use to scan the supra with. This will generate a point cloud (probably something in the region of 100million points) from which individual surfaces can be created (ie individual panels) and it's accurate, VERY accurate, like 0.05mm accurate. There are many possible uses for this from creating artistic images like those in the above link, to creating perfectly mating bodypanels and tooling. This may not be ready for a few months but I'll update when it is!

Pete
3D Scanner - Coool! I always wanted a go on one of those..
SupraStar 3000
this is very interesting. I've always wanted to have a 3D model of my Supra and even tried it several times in StrataVision 3D, but I always give up on the complicated sections like the rear wings and bonnet. Think SilverMachine a.k.a Gaz works with CAD and 3D work
TLicense
It probably won't be done for a while, but when it is done I'll be able to export it in a range of file types. The most universal is IGES, but I can also export using among others STEP,STL,I-DEAS Archive,I-DEAS Library file. Most machines will struggle to manipulate a point cloud of the kind of size it will be, so I'll probably also produce a reduced size file as well. Make no mistake though, it'll still be tricky to convert this to surfaces or a solid model.
Japanfanatic
guys, these 3D-Models are plain bad, and not worth a penny! Get yourself ZModeler (http://www.zmodeler2.com/), the first Version, not ZM2! Then download this add-on car for GTA:VC. Import the .dff-File into the ZModeler and Voila, a 3D-Model you can play around with. It's mesh is a thousand times better then any of those you can buy, and the best: It's for free! Yet I don't get what you want to do with it? /e Sorry, fixed the link

Nic
I take it your not using the Mac then Nic Yes I am, I've got Virtual PC on my Mac so downloaded the file and opened using VPC, then exported as a .3ds (3D Studio) file copied back to Mac and now I'm playing with it using Strata 3D Pro in OSX Ed have you got Acquisition (Peer 2 Peer file sharing software) on your Mac? Best app ever invented for the Mac, allows you to download 'backup' copies of any software you need (Virtual PC, Strata, Adobe CS etc.) See HERE I use Acquisition a lot to 'acquire' all software, mp3's, movies, etc. PM me if you need any advice.
