Terminator
I have tried a search but have drawn a blank. My ECP disc give me a part number of 04479-14130. But the cars shows as USA. Could someone with the discs and aUK chassis no please confirm tthe part number. I think the kit replaces all the seals in the cylinders. Guest Martin F
That part number sounds familiar. Will check tonight. Remember the US cars do have the same 4-pot front callipers as our UK cars.

Guest Martin F
Let us know how you get on when you go to fit them. How much were they out of interest ?
Terminator
Just pulled the UK rears apart and the kit I have with part number 14130 fits OK thecylinder seals, have the same colur code bars, fit slightly more snugly round the pistons than the old ones but I would expect that from a referb kit the outer dust seals are the same and the their spring retainers are the same. I guess the different part numbers must be related to regional codes. Cost me £26 I have just one question, and sensible answers please, with no sexual references, - what do I do with the pink gunk. I presume it is a rubber lubricant for the seals.

Guest Martin F
Ahhhhhh *hit!!!!!! My mistake the part number i quoted was for the front refurb kit. Must actually take in what i'm reading. As far as i know you should use the pink grease on the surface of the pistons (and any other sliding faces) to allow lubrication. Pretty much as you guessed. Terminator
Thanks Martin, just wanted to make sure it was not face cream or something worse.
Terminator
I have completed the refurbishment of my rear brakes. The fitting kit was correct as all the parts fitted perfectly. I have used a high temperature clear lacquer to give them a better, easy clean finish and that has an as new look. I think they look very good almost like the new ones. I will post some pictures when my camera is working again.
