Chris Wilson
I am about to commit to a proper gearbox for my Skyline and was wondering if anyone building a big HP car wanted to see if buying 2 would reduce the prices? I am looking at the Glebe 6 speed sequential dog box, which runs drop gears to allow overall gearing changes without changing the diff. It's expensive, but a bargain compared to similar thinks from Hewland or Xtrac, around 5K It is built to handle the torque though, has a full range of ratios and drop geras available, and has excellent back up from the makers, Glebe, who i know well. So if anyone is wanting a proper manual box and is willing to commit in this price area let me know. It's not a viable road car box, and you'd need to have bellhousing from a manual N/A machined and welded up to fit it, plus a custom propshaft or 1/2 propshaft. The good side is will have very good residual value if you come to flog it.
mikeyb10supra
might be worth having a word with Paul Whiffin Chris or possibly Jamie
