RaceLogic Traction Control inc launch

Hi all,

as part of the Solaris ECU install, which has traction control built in (can't wait to set that up with Ryan! :D) we've removed the RLTC system that was in my Supe when I bought it.

Not shown but included in the price are the manual and the diagnostic lead I found after taking the picture!

Comes with this controller (library pic):

But according to the RaceLogic website you can buy and add the adjuster with a LCD screen if you prefer.

Details of the adjuster

Details of the Launch Control

Will fit any Supra with ABS.

Supra-specific fitting guide here. (General fitting guide here.)

I've also got a manual which I'll stick in with the kit.

£450 delivered to UK

P.S. Terminator on the forum wrote some Supra specific RaceLogic DAT files; the software to view/alter them is free from the RaceLogic website.

Any questions, just ask.

Is it? Oops! I'll nudge it back up to where I started then! ;)

I dropped it as I didn't think I had a lead and wasn't sure how much of a PITA it was to get one. When I searched & found it's a standard cable, then realised I HAD got one... duh.

  • 3 weeks later...

Looks like this will be up for sale again, den1 isn't happy that a connector is apparently missing (probably under my Supra's ECU housing) and some wires have been chopped (as shown in the photo above) and feels that they would be difficult to resolder, so has changed his mind about buying it. I did offer to look for and sort out the connector but he refused.

I'll have a look at what he means once it's returned to me and put it back up for sale once I've addressed any possible concerns.

It needs the RS232 plug for laptop connection, also the diagnostic light is not visible in the picture. There is also a RS232 terminator plug which is used for system set up, again not showing in the picture. Not an essential as they can be bought from RL or borrowed from members.

Looking closely at the picture mate your buyer is right, the diagnostic/setup plug is missing.

Kind of critical

Yep, as discussed above I spotted that was missing and offered to sort it (it's a 59p part from Maplin!) before I shipped the components, but Dennis initially said he didn't mind sorting it.

I am Glad you are all in agreement

I'm sorry you're not happy; it was a genuine oversight on my behalf - I never fitted the kit so wasn't aware anything was missing when I boxed it up. :(

All the same, a missing connector isn't terminal and it will be professionally replaced as you can see, so the kit will be complete again and ready to go. When we spoke on the phone you seemed certain you wanted to buy new instead, so I'm happy to refund you and sell to someone else instead.

All the best. :)
