Jellybean
Hi Just noticed this morning, first time ever hearing this. When I go over ramps in the Carpark the front Suspension squeaks like an old spring bed and when turning I get a squeak too It is fairly cold this morning, would this be the cause? Jellybean
Think the sway bar bushings need to be greased
bodilx6
try to oil the different bushings, one at a time if possible, to figer which is the problem. Then its easier to find out if replacement is needed. I've done this with some simple spray on oil ment for my bike
Jellybean
Lubed the Anti Roll bars this evening,no affect. Only issue no access to ramp so hard to say the least to view the bushing let alone spray I didnt think Bushings would go so suddenly, if it is that? miko_supra
Use a silicone spray lubricant, some oils may damage the rubbers. I had the same issue on the front. I found that when i jacked and lowered the car i would get the same sound so. just get someone to do the same and have a hunt around for where its coming from. Anti roll bar bushes would be my first bet and at only a tenner from toyota they are worth replacing.
Jellybean
I even get the squeak (Like rubbing two balloons together of trying to twist a balloon is the best way all i can describe the noise) when just trying the Wheel at a stand still Think it might be the Ball Joint maybe some dirt, last time we checked we had at least some poly urtheane bushings upfront (On sway bars in anyway) so hopefully the rest are too I think it is the Ball Joint or the Sway bar Linkage

bodilx6
It the Lower Front Wishbone That was the fault? How did you find? Was it the ball joint or the bushings?
Jellybean
That was the fault? How did you find? Was it the ball joint or the bushings? It was the Bushing, but normally when the bushing is worn it will put alot of stress on the ball joint so best thing is to replace the ball joint, so a new wish bone is need (unfortunetly you cant buy a ball joint only) I found it by applying a silicon lubricant spray (so it doesnt wash off in rain) on bushings until squeek was gone or at least to a minimum. Ordered PowerFlex front bushing Kit so will replace all and see if the ball joint is worn before I fork out on new Wishbones (Good practice to do in pairs)
bodilx6
Great! Where did you get the kit from? Have you come across a guide of how to fit? I haven't really looked into how to do it, but would love to fix it myself

I haven't really looked into how to do it, but would love to fix it myself Ebay one of the uk companies do it; fairly straight forward to replace the bushes just need a ramp preferable and some muscle Id say best part a 3-4 hours work
