gordy.r
Isn't there a massive price difference between a Supra and R34 GTR? (unless you're aiming for TRD3000GT territory) I think he will be lucky to get an R34 GTR for under £25k - even in this credit crunch climate! j_jza80
there's quite a few about for under 25k, I've seen some around 18-20k The price of these has started to plummet. I've seen a few now sub £20k, and I reckon by the end of the year they'll start around the £13-14K mark.
gordy.r
Indeed- Auto Trader Ok my bad... so there are three there for under £25k... but they're still £22K !!! They seem to hold their value very well, even with other car prices dropping all over the place. Would be nice if they did come down to the £13-£14k mark by the end of the year but I very much doubt that. I picked up my R33 GTR 2 years ago for those sort of figures and it has only lost a few k's. just need to wait and see I suppose, but deffo a little bit more for a stock R34 GTR (GT-T can be had for around the £10k mark just now) than a late spec stock Supra TT. jassi_hayre
I saw a R34 in black which had been kitted out totally looked the dogs ... but for £25k you can have a 996 C4S, possibly even a 996 turbo at 28k.

Matt H
The amount of people that ask this question, when its not really that comparable. The supra is a 1993 car. the R34 was a 1999 model. The car which should be compared is the R33 which is still more modern than the supra at 1995. In that case its a supra without a doubt. As for which i'd prefer; a stock skyline R34 V-spec or a stock supra, then it would be the R34 without a doubt, the stock supra is too aged now. But if it was my supra in the mix, well it would have to be the Z-Tune but with only 19 of them made it isn't likely.

Maybe not that much but they could drop a fair bit with the UK release of the GTR in a couple of months.

The prices have already started dropping quickly in Japan. With the recession most of the world is in now, prices of second hand R35 gtrs will drop quickly, which will have a massive impact on the price of R34s. If you want a recession proof sports car, buy either an immaculate Escort Cosworth or a 993 Porsche 911 turbo.

j_jza80
There's a few R34 GTRs in japan now for around £15k, even with the shocking exchange rate
