AlexM
Thats a shame, will have to stay over somewhere on the 9th and support the Whifbitz team then Know of any nearby hotels? Seeing as we'll be there on the 8th it'd make sense to stay nearby..

SupraDan24
Where abouts are you guys travelling from? Thetford and Diss arent too far away if your coming from the south or west. There'll prob be Hotels there. Norwich isnt too far away either, there's plenty of Hotels there and a damn good night out
Paul Whiffin
Just took my undertray/splitter off and there is a nice big hole in the bottom of the alluminium sump and the worst bit a hole in the side of the block. Looks like from what I can see so far the engine is ok, all turns over and there aren't any rods missing! Looks like the oil pump has shit itself and chucked its guts through the side/bottom of the engine. How much bad luck can one person have. JamieP
Will that still be a full short block rebuild though seeing as the block is damaged?

Paul Whiffin
Just stripped the engine down and I cant see any other reason apart from the oil pump giving up and chucking its guts out the back of the pump and then being fired out of the side of the engine buy the crank. Everything looks ok apart from 2 pistons which have been hit by bits of the oil pump and obviously the block and sump are scrap. Why me!
