Wez
Nope, thinking about it though along with a gearbox and fuel cooler to! Paul Whiffin
I saw a neat fuel cooler setup with the cooler at the back on the return line before it entered the tank I haven't look into it yet tbh. Going to measuring up for the fuel swirl pot tomorrow though. Best place I can see is above the diff area along with 2 external pumps and some heatshielding to keep the hot exhaust heat away. Will have to drop the diff out to fit it all though, once its done should be good. Dont want any more fuel starvation like I had at Snetterton. Guigsy
Ta, I also want to get some air to the air filter, dont know how at the moment, I've run out of room! Modify a headlight? Or i guess you could put a vent of some kind at the front of the wings and some ducking behind it to behind the headlight?
SteveR
Fuel cooler? That's a new one on me I have to admit!

I might end up putting a vent in the bonnet to feed the air straight into the air filter.

These regs? 9.8 Headlights and indicators, brake and hazard lights, front wipers and horn must be in good working condition. Headlight glass must be protected against breakage by tape or security film. 9.9 If a headlight air scoop is to be fitted then the replacement item must include the facility for a headlight (full beam operation) and an indicator lens. Guigsy
Convert the dipped to a full beam then use the full beam space for a vent if you only need full beam? Or if you need a dipped convert the fog? Then if you need a fog just add some big rally style ones on the front

DARETT
Steve and I have just ordered our Racepak IQ3 dashes, these really are the nuts having used one in the RX7 last year, highly recommend them. Cant wait to get it fitted in our cars, it'll be a great tool for us as drivers to as we'll be able to overlay information on braking points, corner speed, etc. from each car so it should tell who's being a pussy! Does everything required, lap timing, datalogs anything you input into it, I'll copy and paste from website all the info below: The IQ3 dash represents an entirely new concept in data logging dashes. By placing the 32 channel data logger, 512 MB memory card, GPS board and 3 axis G meter inside the dash, every feature of the data system is now located in one central location. And, when that 32 channel data logger is one of Racepak’s exclusive smart sensor type, that means that only one small cable will transmit the data from all the sensors to the rear of the dash. So, for the customer, this means: No external data logger necessary No bulky, heavy sensor wiring harness No beacon transmitter or receiver necessary for lap time data No wheel speed sensor necessary. GPS provides speed and track mapping The IQ3 data logger dash is designed to be a complete data center. Contained inside the fully programmable dash is a 32 channel data logger, 512 MB memory card, GPS board and 3 axis G meter. The programmable shift lights are protected from sunlight by a molded shield above the lights, while the low glare LCD display is well recessed in the housing in order to provide viewing in all light conditions. The rear of the dash contains the connectors for the external GPS antenna, Vnet sensor cable and the Power / Ground / Engine RPM / External Programming Button harness. All sensors transmit their data through a single cable (Vnet) which is routed to the rear of the dash. This eliminates the need for a sensor harness, greatly reducing installation time, complexity and overall weight. All data is stored in a 512 MB MicroSD memory card, located in the front of the dash between the programmable shift lights. This design insures easy access to the memory card for data download. http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/images/image_library/parts/iq3dash.jpg Hopefully should be a good year for the Supra's! Car is Looking good! How much did you pick the above up for? Are they car specific or compatible with other marques as well?
Paul Whiffin
Hopefully should be a good year for the Supra's! Car is Looking good! How much did you pick the above up for? Are they car specific or compatible with other marques as well? I got a bit of a sponsorship deal sorted out, still not cheap with the crap exchange rates of late. It also depends on what sensors you have as you buy the basic unit and then add extras if you need them. Racepak have also released a "road" dash which is very similar looking but without the gps built in so cheaper. You interested in one then? DARETT
Ah ok, Yes I was interested in setting up something like that in the Impreza, and running something like a "road" dash for the supra... Looks much neater than clusters of guages everywhere, and as you explained serves many different purposes... PM me if you can some sort of cost implications for both when you get a chance... Paul Whiffin
Right been busy doing some ducting work. Brake ducts now moulded into the front bumper along with a hole in the centre of bumper to let a bit more air into the intercooler, this now meshed, not shown in the pics. Paul Whiffin
Also, been working on ducting the oil coolers Before shot, air just following its own path where ever it wants to go Afternoon of cutting sheet alluminium up, taking bumper on and off god knows how many times and its done. Still want to box the drivers side one in a bit better though. Hopefully it'll make a difference. http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/images/stories/mysuprapics/coolers3.jpg Edited January 10, 2010 by Paul Whiffin (see edit history)
