johnbach
Hi gays My supra has a big problem in wearing its back tyres fast , A pair of Dunlop’s only lasted a month I had to put four sets on the back last year, the tyres seem to be wearing down evenly so don’t think the tracking is out, hade the car in the garage and they couldn’t find any mechanical fault to make it were the tyres , my son was following me one day and he Sade that the back end of my car seemed to be sliding from one side to the other so I thought could it be something to do with the dif or back axle . Help any suggestions.

gordy07
Stop spinning the rear wheels, they last alot longer that way;)
johnbach
Hi a bit of a spelling mistake to start but got some people going though, I am very careful and gentle with my right foot so no wheel spins I’m too old for things like that. Is the geo a 4 line tracking and wooden the tyres ware down unevenly if that was out, as for it may have been welded or something the mechanic I had took a good look under the car and he would have picked up on anything not right
Guest barkdog23
The compound of the tyre maybe too soft, either that or the tyres could of been a bad batch.
AJI
A mechanic just visually looking at the wheels would find it very hard to notice if they were out of alignment. It only takes a millimetre or two to have a big impact on the handling and tyre wear rate. Have a 4 wheel alignment check. You may find out that you have a big case of toe in or toe out on your rears.... and if it was 'snaking' around then it might be that the 'thrust line' is way out. (for example... one rear wheel might be 'fighting' the other rear wheel for straight line traction and in doing so they are both doing a lot of extra 'work' in terms of grip when trying to drive normally in a straight line) The worst case is that your chassis is bent and some serious wheel realignment might be required to get your car to even out its tyre wear rate. You might end up with a car that is 'crabbing'..... which will look pretty gash, but your tyres should last longer.
Dnk
Just to add im not gay either but if youve worn a pair of rear tyres out in a month under normal driving conditions then there must something very wrong with your car or the tyres your buying
