merckx
looking at the numbers on it looks like was made 21 week 2005? I'm not sure, i've just had a look at my Goodyear's and the number isn't in the same format as Wez's. I've got... DOT NE4N 2JJR 2506 , in my case 25 week 2006. On the link that was posted about tyre age it looks like "DOT" proceeds the number. I might be wrong though Edited January 21, 2009 by merckx (see edit history)
TTRickeh
Maybe the Eagle F1's have this number posted on the right hand side of them? Did you check passenger or drivers side merckx? I had to check my drivers side as I couldn't find it facing me on the passengers side.
Wez
I've got... DOT NE4N 2JJR 2506 , in my case 25 week 2006. Just checked mine and I have a similar pattern on the other side, mine ends 4707, looks like mine are newer than yours
Ibrar Jabbar
Look's like the tyre has been run flat at some stage, causing the side wall to delaminate (internal) and blow. Have you checked inside the tyre for anything that may have caused this?
Wez
Not yet, will have a proper look at it over the weekend. The tires were purchased in Jan 2008, I found the receipt, I dont ever recall them going flat, its highly possible that it got a puncture on the way and then went pop when it dropped in psi. I checked the other rear and it is 34psi as it should be, the fronts are 35psi and 36psi
