Guest FKADizzmystar
and the guy left the stock turbo heat shield off because he couldn't get it back on. is this a problem or it makes no difference whether its on or off. Also just making sure when u put a bigger front mount intercooler on (Greddy Mspec) it makes it lag a bit more but comes on harder? cheers

Ric
because he probably snapped the bolts trying to get it off.
d_d
You do have to have patience getting it off
DannoSupra
All you need to do, if he hasnt snapped the bolts, is take the turbo pipes off the top of the turbo's and slap her on! It's not too bad to do to be honest
Guest FKADizzmystar
what do you mean buy the turbo pipes? the black plastic 1 or the whole side manifold and everythink
Ian C
Well now look, if you've paid someone to swap your turbos they really should put all the bits back on again. If they haven't, then either they take it apart again and put it back together properly (at no further expense to your good self), or pays for someone else to do it. Also, if it's the metal shield that sits on top of the turbos, yes it's required or you'll melt pipes and stuff. It's held on by two or four really big and really accessible bolts. It's about the single easiest bit to remove/replace out of the whole sequential system How can you fail to put it back on? -Ian

colsoop
Did they use your turbos or did they do it on exchange ?
Guest FKADizzmystar
they used mine and redone the insides with steel blades not ceramic because the ceramic ones had chips in it
razza
Get them to put it in the same state you gave it to them, you wouldn't accept a wheel put on with only a couple of bolts because they couldn't get the others on.... Hopefully you haven't paid them, and don't until they've done it properly!
Ian C
they used mine and redone the insides with steel blades not ceramic because the ceramic ones had chips in it Did they tell you that? I ask because the only ceramic failures I know of end up with the entire wheels shattering - due to the nature of ceramics. I've not heard of them ever just being chipped. -Ian
