spiderpigcity
It would handle terribly, be VERY heavy amongst many many other reasons. It would probably be quite keen on petrol too... same as the Veron then!!! PMSL
chris2o2
Now before we start designing it we need a name for the car. Supra TTTT or Supra BIG DOUBLE SINGLE ??? Paperweight ?
j_jza80
same as the Veron then!!! PMSL It would weigh at least half a ton more than a Veyron though by my reckoning, and have a 16 year old Toyota interior instead of Bugattis masterpiece. Ewen
I posted something similar not long after I first joined. Not my finest moment, but I too just had an idle thought about a heavy custom job on a Supra...mid-engine, twin engine, six wheels or a Ute / pick-up. I still quite like the Ute idea, heres one done on a MkIII. http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/showpost.php?p=857245&postcount=

gordy07
Its not a bad idea, but not a good one either! Too heavy.
RobSheffield
Disregarding the weight issue for just a moment (pair of 3SGTE's in a stripped shell) Its a fairly ridiculous idea for many reasons.
spiderpigcity
It would go in the aristo i bet ive seen 2 v8's side by side in many fast boats that are no wider than a supra. why cant it be done?
spiderpigcity
It would go in the aristo i bet We could get a Jockey to drive it, then that would make up for half the weight of the new engine.
D8MOA
the lexus LS600H is a 4 wheel drive where the front diff/shafts go through the engine sump. so if you had 2 of them engines ime sure you could put one in the backa nd 1 in the front. or as said eairler a front and rear mounted 3S-GTE.... but why even think about doin it? dani_r
Lads, if i win big on the lottery I'll give it a shot! I'll get some of the finest Supra experts in on it (if they fancy it) and we'll make some mad twin engine Supra! Tastefuly done of course! To hell with the absurdity of it, it's what being a petrol head is all about! My friend has a similar outlook. He has always said that if he wins big he'll get 10 RB26 motors and stick them in mad stuff like a Suzuki Wagon R! Just for the hell of it, and coz we can! ....now all I have to do is win the lottery, shouldn't be that hard:sly: Edited January 18, 2009 by dani_r (see edit history)

dani_r
haha, boats are just like floating cars lets be honest lol, cars have a few more holes in though, if you wanted to make a supra boat (new ideas floating around my head!) you might need to plug up a few of them holes or there's a possibility it might sink! bigbloodyturbo
if i win the lottery i would be more inclined to find a 1GZ v12 from a century and spend all my time (and winnings) making it fit rather than two 2jz's

dani_r
In that case wouldn't it be easier to to buy one from TS? Much less hassle! Christ, why not buy 2?
dangerous brain
Yup it would easier fit in an aristo and there is already a 4wd system for the aristo that may or may not be work-onable.
