spiderpigcity
Anyone think that they could build a twin engined Supra. one in the front and one in the back? Any comments? both running a comfy 700bhp that would give you over a 1400bhp and over 1000lb ft of torque. it would kick Verons arrrrse.

marbleapple
There are people on here who I am sure if they wanted to they could. JamieP and Chris Wilson spring to mind. I am sure there are reasons why they haven't though.
j_jza80
It would be a bit silly really. I'm sure it could be done, but it would be an awful car.
Mike
I can barely get my lappy bag and my gym bag in the boot... how you going to get another engine in there?
marbleapple
I can barely get my lappy bag and my gym bag in the boot... how you going to get another engine in there? That could be a reason why remove the back seats too.... and perhaps the front ones

JamieP
I cant see it possible with the way the supra engine points, normally conversions like this are done with transverse engines.

Surely it would depend on the way it was done.

tooquicktostop
Cant see the point, a big single'd Supra, built engine driving the rear wheels is an amazing experience and one I will never forget, such a rush, cant imagine how heavy the car would be with 2 engines, it would handle like a pig and be as hot as hell, the rear engine would need some interesting cooling system and the drivetrain would be a nightmare
miko_supra
High powered engine in the front and a 1 litre diesel in the back for getting to work and back

spiderpigcity
High powered engine in the front and a 1 litre diesel in the back for getting to work and back now thats a great idea we could even make them run on LPG and then it would be just the same as running a normal supra. Mike
High powered engine in the front and a 1 litre diesel in the back for getting to work and back That's not a bad idea My dad has a new Renault mini people carrier thing.. it does 68mpg and isn't bad around town. I filled the washers in it over Christmas and actually laughed out loud when I raised the bonnet. I've seen bigger hair dryers!? it's only a 1.5 with no turbo... modern engines eh? Now before we start designing it we need a name for the car. Supra TTTT or Supra BIG DOUBLE SINGLE ???

j_jza80
It would handle terribly, be VERY heavy amongst many many other reasons. It would probably be quite keen on petrol too...
