Supacharged supra

Well, you need a suitable charger, a mounting fabricated, new drive belts, fuelling upgrades (injectors and probably pump) and some form of ECU whether standalone or piggy back.

Its possible, just not cheap, and with the abundance of turbo kits available, its possibly not worth it.

PS, its Supercharged, not Supa.

Has been done loads to the lexus is300 (which is the same engine as later model N/A supes with VVTi).

On supras, ive hardley ever seen it done (in fact only once). A guy on here did his own conversion which worked for a time, but i know that his supercharger shaft broke and thats the last i heard of it.

Specific kits exist in the US for these conversions but they are for LHD cost about £5K and dont give any more power than the TT, so a TT engine swap is more cost effective.

So guigsy you saying that cause i have a 5 speed manual i could have it all done and still be a manual for around the 2k mk

yep. almost had it done myself. But has others have said it might be a little more than 2k. the 6 speed boxes are dificult to find and expensive when you do. The 5 speed box can be used with a different flywheel and clutch i think. Might need a dif or something aswell but im no expert.

Factoring the cost and power gains of the supercharger, a simple TT swap would deliver far more power at a lower cost. Plus it's OEM so if done correctly it should prove far more reliable in the long run.

The only extra cost would be an uprated clutch for the W58.
