Animal
I smell a hoax. Surely with both engines out it'd be up there until they could bring it back down somehow. Normally, when both engines die, planes hit the ground like a dart.
merckx
and kept the nose up for as long as possible so that the engines would not be ripped off They're saying now that one of them did get ripped off.
Fifty
Hats off to the Captain - a one chance only scenario executed brilliantly. One engine is in the river. I used to fly props and flying low over water was bad enough let alone landing on it! Rich
OhGod
I smell a hoax. Surely with both engines out it'd be up there until they could bring it back down somehow. I think some people missed the joke...or maybe I missed the seriousness.
merckx
Yes, the Captain did a fantastic job. He must feel absolutely elated to have pulled that landing off so perfectly, I hope the pilot and crew have a press conference so they can explain how it all happened. Carl_S
Nice Fifty, a real pilot, I'm envious. Props must give you more of a pure flying feel that you could of got from a jet anyway. Merckx, yeah imagine the pilots feelings, he lands, he checks the plane. He must have been buzzing more than any illegal substances could have made him buzz. Hope his wife treated him that night too.
