plus1
Wife (Dragonlady) has started a new job and has to pick a new company car. Problem being is that she is not going to get rid of her Honda, as it is her baby, and the running costs of opting out of the company car scheme means she has to foot the running costs. She will be doing approximately 28-30000 miles a year. Priority for the new car is sarety and economy, then comfort. Her choice is limited and has been narrowed down to the new Fiesta, VW Polo and a Mazda 2. She did want a Yaris but Toyota is not on the list and nor is Honda. Opinions please would be much appriciated.

ellis
Aren't the Mazda 2 and the Fiesta essentially the same car? If so, would the Mazda not be more fun?! At least its Japanese!!
Mrs H
I would go Mazda Vicki x
The Restorer
First opinion would be the Fiesta. It's agile enough if she ever gets chased by baddies in a shopping centre and she can use it on the beach to help out the SAS if ever needed too. Had a word with the Mazda dealer about that, they only share parts of the chassis.
Dozymare
My mum has a Fiesta and I'm ashamed to say I quite enjoy driving it - better than my same age Mitsu Colt by a mile.
michael
New Fiesta, it's supposed to be lots of fun, I haven't seen a bad review for any of the variants yet. Just don't get it in that awful pink colour.
Carl_S
Dragonlady in a Fiesta Dragonlady in a Polo Dragonlady in a Mazda. The last one sounds by far the best, so go for the last one.
DaveR
Hate to go against the Japanese, but I'd take the Fiesta.
