snake
if you park the car close enough to the pump it doesn't matter,The hose is long enough to reach the filler neck. [unless you are driving a van:taped:]
Tricky-Ricky
Does it really matter, i have yet to see a pump that the hose wont stretch to the other side anyway.

You own a Supra and don't know that you almost drive it past the pump if you want to fill from the wrong side, so no paint contact:p

Its easy enough, and gives you the choice of any pump then
Lbm
Such a relief to learn of gauges which do or don't tell you the correct side to fill up- and then a couple of tips on how to actually fill up, if you've driven to the wrong side. This much needed cutting edge knowlege is to be applauded and savoured.

Rob
Yes, and hold the hose away from the car while you're pumping. Its easy enough, and gives you the choice of any pump then ...and a warm smug glow while other people are still queuing for a pump on "their" side. AndrewOW
...and a warm smug glow while other people are still queuing for a pump on "their" side. I know what I said was a bit daft, but you'd be surprised at the amount of people that queue 'their' side, and don't consider the alternative. I just drive in and fill'n'go. I've been asked a few times why I'm 'round the wrong way'!
Guigsy
there are massive signes at our tesco that say "use both sides" and then a picture of the hose showing it will reach arround. Yet there is often 2/3 people queing for there side. I sometimes wonder if they know something i dont
Animal
I have to say I'm guilty of queueing at a pump that's on the right side, but that's mostly because the few times I have tried to use the opposite pump, it either won't reach or you've to pull so far forward you're blocking the exit for others and end up looking like a clown. I think the Supra is just a little too wide to fill up easily from the other side.
Mike
That's funny... I always go to the wrong side to get served quicker... do most cars have it on the right?! Discuss. (actually, no please don't)
