Weekend update.

 

Bottom end has been handed to the machineshop for a light hone and dynamic balancing and assembly of crank, rods, pistons, flywheel and crank dampener.

 

 

sump has been cleaned up and given a guick buff (in progress here, left part not done in this pic:

Please tell me you where very careful with the amount of sealant you used around the oil pump? otherwise the porting of the drain will have been for nothing, if its partially blocked with sealant.

 

I will check up on that! thanks for the heads up.

 

....thats why it's such a good idea with these project threads!

so, after a few issues with oilpress and ignition the car is now started up and it purrs like a kitten. Had it up to 80 degrees oil temp yesterday and everything seems good. no leaks ect. Only glitch was the power stering pump that chatted a bit until the fluid got all around the system.

Now only awaiting some brakepads from Paul, then I can take it for the first spin :-)

new brakepads has been installed and I've made the first 2 oilchanges on the car (done 150 miles in it)

everything runs great and act's positive. Gearbox oil will be changed today and only thing missing now is the 4" exhaust and Ryans magic touch
