help with bubbleing noise from top rad hose

right been out car was fine, bottom rad pipe was warm. before i turned the car off i let it stand for a bit (60s ish) and i didnt get any bubbleing in the top rad pipe.

 

so i think im gona change my rad cap and see what happens.

 

does any one have a pic of what one shoul look like? is the spring ment too be on the cap or in the radiator?

The cap comes complete in one unit so just remove the old one and fit a new one from Toyota.

o right i looked at mine and the spring is in the radiator. i guess it should be on the rad cap.

 

Sounds like youve found the problem :)

 

Check the expansion coolant tank and make sure thats filled to the required level, follow the small pipe that comes off the rad filler neck, the tank should be infront of the rad unless its been moved to fit an FMIC.

I'm far far from a reliable source of info, So I could be wrong, But I’d say its worth getting it out, If it does not make it out the Rad it may cause an interference in the flow of coolant, If it does make it out of the rad it may cause a blockage in some of the smaller pipe's. But saying that, it may cause no prob's at all.
