Chris Wilson
Need to send electronically by Internet the equivalent of pencil sketches, either as one off drawings on "clean paper" or sketches made atop photographs or other drawings. Not sure if i should buy a decent scanner or a Tablet? Pete found a very cheap Tablet by Wacom on Amazon for under 25 quid, (thanks Pete) but never having used one I am not sure if it's really what I need. I want to avoid this nightmare and mess with trying use a mouse in Irfan View
Thorin
Scanner I'd say.
michael
I have an old Wacom tablet (pre-USB) that I used to use for photo editing, tech drawings and just general fannying around, after a while I ditched my mouse completely and just used that, very easy to get the hang of and very accurate. Mine had a clear sheet over the tablet so you could put pictures underneath and trace around them. I think I paid about £80 for it so the £25 option sounds worth a look. You'll need a scanner too though if you want to draw on photos in the PC, either that or a camera that can photograph them nicely enough for your use. JustGav
What about the both option? Given the original image, it almost looks like it would be beneficial to scan in the original photo and then use the tablet(pen) to draw the areas required... Nic
What are you trying to do exactly Chris? Just the outline of the area or graphics? If it is just the outline you need then I would trace onto paper, scan the image and then outline using 2D drafting software.
