i can give it a go, will check what material we have in tomorrow. What do you want it made from? Ali? Stainless?

I will have to set up the logo and run it thru the programme to see if the cutter is fine enough, you may be better off getting them lasered

That might be best, but I guess you'll know better than me :)

Probably ali as it's easy to polish up.

I agree that laser machining might be a better option for you. Try http://www.laser-engraving-limited.com/index.html. They did some laser engraving of text into a piece of Oak for me and they did an awesome job at a very good price. I was amazed by the level of detail they could do. They do laser cutting of all sorts of things too.

They had some metal pieces around the showroom but I didn't look closely at them as it wasn't relevant to what I wanted. I did see some photographs they engraved onto acetate though which looked v. good and I've got loads of ideas of things to do now!

It can be engraved on a CNC, I have erm "ACQUIRED" some carbide engraving cutters that we got for an open day a work.

They will not last very long in steel, but they are good in aluminium alloys etc.

I could have a do if somebody can get good measurements of the sizes etc. And also a good picture would be a great help.

if anyone wants a large image of the supra logo i have one on the other Pc. IIRC its black and white and is about 1200 odd pixels accross and a good quality i think. So should look better when scaled than a crappy smaler one. Its not a vector though if that matters.

I have the logo somewhere, I was trying to get a ready written program written in Heidenhain about a year ago. But I had no joy.

I hand write all my programs at work, so for such a little logo, theres a fair bit of working out. Does anybody have a logo written in Heidenhain? The size doesn't matter of the logo as the scaling cycle can be used to adjust size as necessary.

my dad is a cnc tool maker, ill give the dimensions to him and the lettering style and see what he comes up with. i can test it on my supra first. if the results are good ill take some pics. and see what it would cost to do a run of them.
