supraspeed
ok my fuel gauge and speedo stopped working a while back and electrician said it was not the fuses or the clocks/dials was told it might be the fuel hanger as this was possibly touched when car was being repaired. where is it located as i have no idea- my mate told me it was in the boot under the spare wheel bit and to undo about 6 bolts to get to the fuel tank. i did that and now i'm lost after realising i dont know what a fuel hanger looks like lol. also i dont know why my speedo isn't working, any ideas? (not rubbing/jammed on facia either) any help or diagrams would be really helpful
SteveR
If the car starts and runs, then the fuel pump (which is held by the fuel hanger) is working. I'm not an expert, but there is no way I can imagine that the two can be related. I would check ALL of the fuses before going any further; there are 2 fuse boxes, one in the engine bay and the other just to the right and above your accelerator pedal. After that I would check the connections to the speedo head (3 large connectors; blue white and brown IIRC) and the odometer.
