michael
I went to look at a few cars today and spotted this in one of the garages: http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/uvl/popup.jsp?currentaction=searchresults&e2w=20672&sort=5&did=22669&partner=TMG&postcode=hg12bs&max_records=200&configfile=http://dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/dealers/22669/22669_config.xml&dropdowntype=uvl&e2w=20672&miles=1500&csslocation=http://dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/dealers/22669/22669&id=200902326372199&distance=0 Needed a good machine polish and a bit of paint to cover a scuff on the front bumper, passenger headlamp sitting a bit low too but otherwise looked OK, I expected it to be high mileage when I saw the price but it's only done 49k. I think it's the same as the car Ronaldo crashed
kosmic
No Ronaldos was a 599, 456's are fugly, look oddly proportioned and hence dont retain values as others Ferraris
tooquicktostop
I have almost brought one of these a couple of times in the last two years, seem to be a very practical Ferrari with it having 4 good seats and subtle styling, I have seen them for 25K+ so this is very cheap, I would worry about the following Headlight may not be a cheap fix Last major service in 06 so needs one now Sold as seen always worries me from a dealer, his excuse for age etc just does not sould like dealer talk, it sounds like it needs money spending on it I do really like these, and I am looking for the next car to replace the Supra now, for 20K you do get a lot of car for the money, they were well over 100K new
michael
The dealership in question has a lot of much newer stuff in so I guess this was a p/x they are keen to shift, I'd be worried about what needs spending on it though, if the light was a quick fix they would have done it. Lots of other nice stuff in the showroom though.
bigbloodyturbo
great deal untill it needs something, then you have to sell your organs, even normal stuff like discs and pads would be a fortune i would think
michael
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/driving/used_car_reviews/article497647.ece £5000 for an exhaust I guess you could cheapen it and stick a Powerflow one on When the brakes need doing use Punto ones... swap the headlamps for one of those twin lamp kits you see on RX7s... and then join the Ferrari forum to show off your efforts. JamieP
I did an extension for a guy a couple of years back that had a 456, i asked him what it was like and he said its the worst car he ever owned, every other time he drove it something went wrong with it and he had huge repair bills. Testarossa is still a good car imo, The wifes dad has one and a F40, he uses the Testarossa loads and its always been good, he has had them both from new. F40 dont get used enough to ever break. Homer
Think I am going to get a CLK 55 AMG, thats my first choice at the moment A mate has an 05 model which he's had since it was 6 months old. He absolutely swears by it, apart from servicing it's only been in the garage once for a minor issue which was covered under warranty. I've driven it a few times, even long distance, it's a nice drive, very comfy of course but you can feel the weight when pushing it! The engine is superb, very torqey but isn't a match for a BPU supra once it's rolling (not that you will care too much about that!).

They are very smooth and comfy, lots of torque if not blistering fast, does not attract too much attention and may be someting I get bored of thats my only concern

Gazboy
456GT no way, it's a money pit. The F355 GTS though, now that is tempting, prices all over the place.
