ajazyasin
I can understand that the dude put 100% trust in his 'tuner'. When you're not up on the mechanics of it all, you can be lead into a false sence of reality of what is possible. Feel for the dude cause i know what is like to blow money up bogus tuner's arses. What can be learned from this is, do alot of research before you spend a button. amen:)
Lbm
That's a fair point in all honesty mate. I don't think he's a good listener and I for one could not join a new specialist forum as a newbie and then tell the whole mob they were wrong. I agree. So as I do welcome Martin to the club, I won't be giving him a round of applause for posting his results. My applause is saved for special occassions and like the pound- it's worthless anyway. benkei
Does this also prove this Magical wastegate is a bunch of Cr*p too?
steady_dave
In all fairness though he deserved slating. Yes he had his head filled with sh1t from the tuner, but he came on here & tried to defend it. If that had been me, & I had come on a forum where loads of people were saying "there's no way that's possible" I'd say, "mmmm I wonder if all these people could be right & I am wrong", not "you're all wrong & I am right & I'll put my car on a dyno to prove it". Yes he has done well to come back & admit he was wrong, but he DID deserve most of the flak he took on here. Truth, and yeah don't think he's apologised to Rob yet. I'm quite glad that he came back as here he can get help from people experienced with Supra's, help that i'm getting and hopefully will carry on getting. SteveR
He came back but has since dissapeared. Hopefully he's kicking his 'tuners' backside, rather than crying in a corner as he genuinely seemed to be a good chap underneath all the BS he'd been led to believe. hoff
I agree with you steve. Hes probably feeling pretty crappy about all this so hopefully reflecting. He does deserve the slating for not listening but he came back so fair play. Posted via Mobile Device
dangerous brain
Don't think there is a need for a second fuel pump at all, as a lot of people have said they are getting similar if not more figures using a single pump! Mine reportably has a bosch 044 pump and stock lines and managed to run horrendously rich with 500 odd horses with a T67 single so 300 ish on a bosch should be OK. In fact I put 375 down on the rollers at the wheels at Janspeed with a single walbro on stock turbo's and an fse. Oh and stock 440's and the stock ECU. Firestorm
call me skeptical, but through all this.. i'm starting to wonder if his "tuner" was a skilled as he once was told..and how do we know that he just didn't take it to his local grease monkey to fiddle about with it? i think that its just too much of an excuse to blame it someone else... but i understand that if he had no clue taking somone elses advice is easy to do. Still doesn't Explain what his actual setup is, i.e the external underneath wastegate? but thats just me, probably best to put this to bed. jaymdee
I think the Tuner has overegged the pudding so to speak on the costs for the mods. My car with double decat and exhaust, running 1.0 Bar made 323RWHP at Surrey Rolling Road and ran 13.08 at Santa Pod, so I know that it's a strong engine and decently fast. Get it to the drag strip mate and see what she does Fair play for remaining on here with the serious flaming you got in the beginning
Chiefgroover
Just had a thought. Q. How many blues singers does it take it to change a light bulb? A. 30. one to change it and 29 to sing sad songs about the old one. Which leads me to................. Q.How many Supra owners does it take to tell one that their BHP figure is rubbish. A. 30. One to tell them its wrong, and 29 to echo lmao!! I knew there would be a funny end to this one

Supra1000000000000000 - don't take your tuners word as gospel, I have also suffered in these circumstances before, but well done on admitting your mistakes!
