So even though this is a Supra specific owners club, where real pepole own real Supras, who have done real mods and had real dyno readouts etc, you are much happier quoting some random website, which appears to only spout out general press release gubbins?

Where are the many places you refer to btw? )

I like a good read as I munch on a pie :)

well thats one..... he gets all this info of the net thats how we knew we could get great powerout of em.....im sure you can look for reviews and info on the supra yourself. If you look hard enough you be suprised what you find. i will look for them and post em when i find em

Dear God!

Actually, I did look on the net and I found this...

Failing that, there are some imbeciles here- http://www.mkivsupras.net that may or my not be able to shed some light on this matter.

Edit: Sorry about all these questions Supra1000000... it's the prosecution barrister in me.

how much does it cost for full single turbo upgrade if you started from standard which would be capable of 600 bhp.... ive never really looked into that

Well if both supra's are modded up to bpu

fuel pump

air filter

boost controller

double decat

back box ( nurspec )

ecu

guages

Then for the single route it can be done for around £5000

I doubt anyone off here would know this, but at a guess between £5000-£10,000 depending on how much work you can do yourself.

Your going off the reason for this argument...its because everyone told me it couldnt be done not how much it costs to do. and im sure it be cheaper the second time round as this was trial and error to get it right the first time and had to do many things including the wastegate mounting many times before we got it right

everyone says you cant get 500 out of stock turbos...if this is the case why is it i can find in many places info that you can ????

read this

The Mark IV Toyota Supra was offered with two different engine options; a naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE, 3.0 litre, straight 6 with 220 horsepower and 210 ft/lbs of torque, and a 2JZ-GTE 3.0 litre twin turbocharged straight 6 with 320 horsepower and 315 ft/lbs of torque.

For many, part of the twin turbo Toyota Supra's attraction comes from the easily upgraded power output. 450 - 500 horsepower can be had out of the stock turbos with a free flowing intake and exhaust system coupled with an aftermarket boost controller.

Was the External Review in that link written by our AJI??? Looks like his car, it's in that article it states 450-500bhp on stock internals

All a am trying to say is if has not been done before then there must be a reason for it the cost of doing the mods your way, I can't understand why you would choose to do it your way when it cost more to do just so you can say well i did it not impressive if you said i can do it this way and it cost half as much to go single then your on a winner ;)

well i think mine is more but not a great deal. Will have to get figures of him

So you've spent more on TRYING to get 600+ bhp out of the stock twins than it would cost to get a healthy single setup done? And you dont seem to have upgraded anything to do with the engine, so even IF you get 600+ the engine is going to blow soon anyway, why didnt you just go the single route:search:

i said its a bit more expensive not twice as much

But you have got to understand that when your running higher boost levels you are creating more heat so when run 1.5 bar to get 500hp when you can run 1.1 ish bar to get the same figure as it's alot safer to do it this way, why put you engine through all that stress of high boost levels

Id still have to modify the engine if you say the car cant take 600 even if i went single so what would be the diffrence
