Sandy-m2
The stock exhaust splits and rejoins. aftermarket exhausts tend to be one pipe. S
QSC
Think the two splits both come from the silencer. It's split to reduce the noise, or turbo spool, or whatever - the Blitz should just replace the whole lot if you're buying the full system. sprag5
when you get the blitz nur spe r and fix the two parts together you will see exactly where it has to go to! it goes from the second cat two bolts (plenty of penetration oil) and three rubber hangers to fit thats all one rubber hanger on the "link pipe" two rubber hangers on the back box
TooColdToDrive
I'm going to throw on my own question to this thread : I'm throwing on HKS exhaust as part of my BPU in the spring. Is it possible for someone with little car experience to pull this off? Besides a jack, stands, and a socket wrench, is there anything else I will need? Any ideas how long it could take? Thanks guys. sprag5
just a can of penetration oil the nuts are 14 mm iirc i had to use a flat blade screwdriver to get it out of the rubber hangers otherwise it took me half a hour and half the skin off one of my hands and i had never done anything like this before

TooColdToDrive
Tasty. Remember to keep the cats - they are worth a pretty penny to metal reclaimers.

benkei
IIRC only the supras first cat is worth anything. And thats the one thats a pita to get out Why would only the first one be worth something and not the second? Surely they're the same thing, just maybe varying in size and shape?? Homer
cos the first one is the one everyone is always after for mots! no, it's the 2nd one that everyones after You wouldn't want to swap the 1st one at MOT time! IIRC they're both worth bugger all as unlike modern cats there's no valuable metals in them.

TooColdToDrive
Titanium is what they're after, isn't it? At least here in Canada, since we don't have standard vehicle inspections.
