Gaz6002
Nissan GTR specV Looks pretty cool, well thought out and seemingly less of a PR project than some other face-lifted cars Would be interested to hear more about the new boost control system. It does looks stunning in the new Opal Black colour they have announced.

Gaz6002
Price? 100k? It's JDM only, and 15,750,000 yen = £113k (ish)
Thorin
Some more (and bigger) pics on Diesel Station http://www.dieselstation.com/cars/nissan-gt-r-specv-model-a1350.html The GT-R SpecV's new exterior features include a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a carbon fiber grille, and carbon fiber brake ducts. The SpecV is available exclusively in Ultimate Black Opal (RP) body color. Inside, the SpecV's unique two-seat interior (non-SpecV GT-R models also include a two-place rear seat) offers special Recaro carbon fiber bucket seats, while carbon fiber insets embellish the rear center storage box, instrument panel and other trim areas. Performance is enhanced with a new high gear boost control device, which momentarily increases boost of the engine's twin turbochargers for greater torque in the intermediate-to-high speed ranges to provide a more powerful feeling of acceleration, while also allowing the engine to operate at a lower speed for improved fuel economy. Other modifications include a titanium-coated exhaust system and carbon-ceramic brakes that provide powerful stopping performance. The GT-R SpecV is also equipped with lightweight, racing-style forged aluminum wheels that were developed for this model and have been sold by Nissan Motorsports International (NISMO) since September 2008. The lighter unsprung weight provided by the new wheels, together with the enhanced braking capability, an exclusive suspension and high-grip tires, combine to deliver the SpecV's exceptional performance. Suggested nationwide retail price (including consumption tax) 15,750,000 yen

RiceRocket
Nissan GTR specV Wow..... a million+ posts So if the 60k GTR is taking on Porsche GT2/3s what's this one taking on at 113k? Oh and where the feck is the Lexus LFA?
supra_aero
Still looks ugly to me but I wouldn't say no to one.
supra_aero
Oh and where the feck is the Lexus LFA? Exactly - Tbh skylines have never been reknowned for their beauty. I want to see the new rx7 and supra. So far neither mazda or toyota have ever made an ugly version of their flagship models. For nissan they are often hit and miss. SupraAyf
The best thing about that car is the badge - very As cars go though, it's not exactly pleasing to the eye in terms of looks.
Pete
That is a stunner. It looks about the same as the standard one to me with some nonsey CF bits on it. Why is it suddenly a Spec V and not a V Spec now? All very odd.
jamesmark
Very nice, subtle changes. However £100k+ price tag? Sorry will stick with the old one and buy a set of seats from the first one written off.

Chris Wilson
It's still huge, heavy and ugly, which, despite the remarkable technology, would be a huge turn off to me, should I think 100 plus grand in something that'll devalue like a piece of steak in the sun, is a good idea in the first place How ANYONE could say it's gorgeous I just don't know.... Carl_S
I'm sure it drives fantastically and looks a lot better in the flesh, but to my taste it still looks like a namby pamby 04 reg celica, and not as interesting or aggressive looking as for example my supra. Nick
I think Nissan are on crack with that price tag. It has some nice extra's, but nothing to justify a price increase to over 16mil Yen on the road. They also could have done so much more, I mean why take out the rear seats but leave the sub box?!? I thought this was supposed to be a track orientated car? It's pretty much a Nismo Club Sport with some extra's. Talking of which, the Club Sport was at TAS today along with a multitude of other R35's in various states of tune and stlying (some bloody awful TBH). The HKS car wasn't bad though. I was introduced to the president of HKS Kansai (nice bloke) who told me they've managed 326kph out of their R35 now. Not bad for a car the size of a house... They're a bit frustrated, waiting for a stronger box before they can up the power.
