PJ
Did you know, in the UK, more than 20,000 people are insured against Alien Abduction. You can also be insured agains the following things; 1. Being injured by a ghost 2. Being eaten (as apposed to abducted) by an alien 3. Being hit by an asteriod Strange but true!
ivan
Problem solved. It was a broken bolt: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/feb/11/wind-turbine-mystery
Fifty
nah the government has fabricated that story to make us lose hope. I still think it was aliens:p Rich
extendor
Enercon, ...the bolts securing the blade to the turbine's hub "exhibited classic signs of fatigue failure". Though the bolts themselves had shown no flaws, it seemed a component part on either side had "induced stress in the bolts beyond their design limits". Aliens - seriously!!!!!!!!!!! Although an engineer somewhere will have brown pants at the thought of the repercussions of that design decision.

extendor
Not if the complainant had been sheared in two! I can quote a line from the end of Robocop2 when the Chairman and Johnson are leaving the Civic Centrum (after the big battle between Cain and Murphy) and stepping over the casualties to get to the limo. Johnson says something like "The dead wont bother us" and The Chairman replies "They always have relatives"
RiceRocket
Have I remembered this story incorrectly or wasn't there a blade missing?

AndrewOW
Nothing like a lack of explanation for people to run to the supernatural. (it's how religion started ) Does that mean that Gaz1 is a god? I had no idea, as he never said! I bet Thorin won't be too happy about that.
