I agree, and not for any other reason bar that nuclear power is a good idea, but people are too obsessed with the now highly reduced dangers.

Its the ignorance of it all that really annoys me. The amount of people voicing their opinion on something they have no idea about is unbelievable. I'm pretty sure i read somewhere, might have been here, that a protest group were taken into a nuclear power plan, shown around and came out astounded by how safe it all was.

If people would stop protesting for the sake of protesting others might just take notice.

With everything in life.... not just power

And thats how all the ignorance starts....:D

My theory:

Wind turbine probably has some sort of automatic gearing. I reckon there was a bit of kicked down and an inevitable spin off.

Happens a lot y'know.

Everyone appears to be changing their sigs.... gets very confusing who's who.

Scotster, yeah it can blow your mind away to think about the expansiveness and the possiblities of the universe. However I find that such thoughts are not currently helpful in helping me make my mortgage payments, which is why they are firmly pushed back into the recesses of my mind.

I agree with you on no-one (apart from possibly Thorin) having a monopoly on knowledge, and so firmly believe that the whole truth about things is impossible for anyone to achieve.

To mrdsukautos, my response to your allegations if I have understood them correctly can only be: "000101000011001 01101 11110010101 010101 010110 01001010010101 11111110010101101 10010100000010111011001000101000101" :)

In fairness i was voicing my opinion on ignorance, not whether nuclear power plants are safe or not :innocent:

The nuclear part was a statement :p

Well no wonder it hit something if nobody was in it to pilot the thing!

I'm with michael on this one... a brick wearing a mask is the only logical explanation for this incodent!!

Planes tend to crash after clouting something like that so we should discount that dont you think?

Ice, hmmmm not convinced. That would require an extreme build up.

IMHO a structural failure possibly down to thermal stress/cyclical fatigue.

On the other hand. The woman who reported lights and tried to take photos looks like a 'grey'. Maybe it was her

it was an american military plane that hit it luckily for them they managed to land it, they then sent a chopper to collect the missing blade, as they don,t like fuss;)

I like the way that the apostrophe in don,t looks like it has fallen thus imitating the actual fallen blade. Art = life = art.

If not ice build up on the blades then possibly the low temperatures have caused a sudden gearbox failure. If the blades were to come to a sudden stop through a gearbox jamming then the momentum of the blades could also easily cause them to 'snap' off.

Good idea, except the blades were still, as there was no wind that night ;)

Coming over here thinking they can get away with whatever they like. I bet you it was a case of drink driving/flying (whatever).

They'll be taking our jobs soon !

Not being racist but why don't they go back home?

Maybe their communications broke down somewhere along the line, and they're having to rely on a make-shift transmission device made from old bits of tat from some chav's back garden!

Those bin lids make good satellite dishes. ;)

ET would go home, but its far too easy not having to get a job. Lazy git!

If you ask me, those ETs and Greys are taking a f*cking liberty.
