Another option is the ferry to cuxhaven (hamberg) in germany from harwhich. Its a lot less expensive than the esbjerg one and you can use your nectar poinbts to get £100 off the price - i did last year.

I have driven from many points (calais, amsterdam, cuxhaven ect.) to sweden many times and would recomend getting a ferry as close as possible if your planning to drive there in one day, I have done the calais to helsingborg trip in 1 day but its exhausting.

I havent check but where is the meet, on the mainland or on zeeland? (sp?) if its on the island, dont forget to factor in the bridge fare approx £20 each way or for less miles, go via puttgarden - rodby ferry at about £25 a time, queues for which can be 2 or 3 hours.

The meet is in Soenderborg, an old town close to the Danish-German border. Have a look at the map attached and let us know what you think is a sensible option. What about travelling on a ferry to france then staying overnight in germany before going on the Denmark the next day?

Didnt realise it was that close, cheapest option would be a ferry to hook of holland from harwhich.

Less miles option would be ferry to cuxhaven.

ferry to holland is 4 hours, to germany is a puke inducing 20.

If the ferry to holland still arrives at midnight Id personally take that one and drive the 6 hours (probably a lot less ;) ) at night, the autobhan is much more "fun" without traffic.

Ferry to holland is just over £200, thats leaving 7pm Thursday night, arriving just before midnight and comming back on the monday morning departing holland at about 7am.

Those times would mean driving thru the night there and back but id strongly recomend that, especially if you want to open the car up on the autobhan.

If you plan on staying at a hotel in Denmark I would suggest you take your baffle's for your exhausts!

No restrictions that I know of, just the scandinavians are a "quiet" race, and its just polite in the mornings not to wake the whole town ;) I have also been told (in Sweden mind) that a car as loud as mine wouldnt be road legal if it was a Swedish car (registered)

Pull the baffle out a mile down the road is what ive always done.

Thursday am - join the Train and go through the tunnell to Calais

Thursday am/pm - Travel throgh France, Belgium and stop overnight at a hotel in Germany (possibly Bonn)

Friday am - Travel to Soenderborg (Denmark)

Friday, Saturday - Camp at Soenderborg

Sunday drive back to Germany and stay overnight (possibly Bonn again)

Ok boys and girls. The wife and I are thinking of making the trip. Can't promise she'll be in a bikini, but if there's beer involved. hehehe. It's a lot closer for us. As a matter of fact, I may be one of the closest members to the place, unless there's some Dane's in the club. I bet I could pursuade the other two RHD's here in Germany to come along. D3xt3r, Fast4fun, you guys in? What's the round about date for the event and location? Associated costs once we get there? What's this I hear about baffles? I'm still catted and have an HKS Dragger. Would that be too loud? Cheers.

I have noted it down it in my agenda a long time allready :) My brother is going to join me. We'll probably arrive in Denmark a few days before and leave a few days later, it's a good opportunity to check out Denmark, I've never been there before.

på gensyn så er der ikke mere!!
