TooColdToDrive
Hey guys, wanted some quick input from you if possible. In normal city driving, my JSPECT auto TT sits at around 2800rpm in second gear, at around 55kmph. However, most of the roads I hang out on are 60kmph limits, so the supra hesitates shifting into 3rd for 10-15 seconds at a time, unless a more significant amount of gas is added. If you keep it at the same accel, the shift is pretty rough, and then it begins to pick up speed again. Could it be the cold? Could it be perfectly normal? Thanks. Gazboy
How cold is it? I'm sure you can do an ECU reset but I have no idea how. Have you changed your trans fliud lately and is it rated for the temperatures you experiance in a Canadian winter? For local issues try supraforums.com they have a Canadian sub section near the bottom of the main page. If you are denied access I'll post up your questions for you later on. bigbloodyturbo
Have heard that the auto box holds 2nd a bit longer when its cold to try and warm the fluid (which fluid that is i'm not sure, trans or engine oil?) I know when my jspec auto is cold it holds onto 2nd for ages but its fine when it warms up after 10-15mins.
