Does my car have ABS?

Following a recent thread, i'd like to know if my 1995 SZ non-turbo has ABS or not..

i have never had the light come on during the bulb start up sequence and have replaced all the bulbs..

i recall seeing a yellow box mounted to my stereo's cage and it said ABS on it..

is this just a part number that happens to be called "ABS" too or does my car have ABS and the bulb is just not working?

many thanks matt.

Sounds more like the airbag control unit... sure it didn't say 'SRS'?

I know what you're referring to there: it's not an Antilock Braking System control: can't remember what it is, either the aerial controller or the heater controller I think. You're right in that it does say "ABS" on it though. :)

absolutely correct, and after working in the plastics industry for a number of years the ABS stands for the plastic it is made from, all plastic components on cars are supposed to display this information for recycling purposes
