DaveK Posted December 31, 2008 Share Posted December 31, 2008 The very early 996s had more issues I think (and they are likely to be the cheapest). I'm still not sure about them - was reading a Porsche mag at the weekend which was saying that the 996s have suffered a similar reputation as the 964 did when it was new. There were horror stories about that (a number of well known problems), but the vast majority didn't suffer from them (and mine has been fine for the 7 years I've had it). When I decide to change the Supra, I do think a 996 will be on the list of possibles. But it wouldn't ever replace the 964 I don't think - different kind of car, even though they are technically the same model. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
