only code thats in the memory is for the vehicle speed sensor as i'm waiting for toyota to order one in for my car as it aint fun driving a supra with no speedo with the cops around my way

no speedo? ie it just stopped working one day?

Is your car still limited to 112mph?

Some delimitors can fail with age giving the sort of problems you describe.......

There is an identical problem becoming more and more common with the Lexus LS400 (1UZ)

This is caused by a build up of crap around the back of the butterfly in the throttlebody.

I'd put a tenner on it being the same problem with yours.

Simple to check. Just unbolt the throttlebody and spray it heavily in carb cleaner. You may find it worth using a small wire brush to get off all of the carbon.

Just keep at it until it looks brand new.

I did this on my dad's LS400 and it was perfect after that. Never cut out again.
