Alex
Piece of cake with laser/plasma rifle I went through after refusing to get slaves and poor sod attacked me (well actually 20+ poor sods attacked me). VATS + good cover point does miracles Mind you, my Charisma is 1, I'm proper tank guy with all perks towards armed combat Worst enemy up to date was this bloody massive behemoth who was chasing me around train in some random bandits camp. Chinese assault rifle and sniper rifle action took him out tho I have NVidia 9800GT graphic card and no probs 1280x1024 with full blown effects. Ahh the Behemoth near Smith's Garage...There's an excellent container you can hide between and a wall and he can't get you, he just stands there flailing at you while you take him apart with head shots... I read up that it's best to let him out to kill the rest of the bandits first, DOH!
RobD
Got this the other day just started the part in paradise falls to release the kids! can easily be game of the year!
j_jza80
VATS is only reasonable way to kill masses and keep ammo, I was shooting things without VATS only when enemies wanted to keep me on distance and didn't move too much. Once you got your hands on laser rifle and get Action Boy there is not many enemies which will survive 6 shots onto head I agree. The only weapon I use without the VATS is the Sniper rifle, as the accuracy seems so much better. I tend to use the hunting rifle with vats. Even enclave power armour troops dont last more than 2 or 3 shots. Paradise Falls is a bit of a crack isn't it? I'm tempted to get armed to the teeth and take them all out.... is that a wise idea? anyone done it this way? That's what I did. Got myself the T51 from the expansion pack and stocked up on amo for the hunting rifle. Having the big mutant sidekick helps alot too. Mike
I leveled out at 20 and now my XP says it's 'MAX'... and I still have the bulk of the main quest to do - on the loading screen the little bar thing has me on the way to level 21 What's that about? Does level 21 actually materialise? I'm guessing not, but do I get the opportunity to get any more perks? I really want the mysterious stranger perk, but I can't seem to up my luck score from 5 to 6!? Should I wait for the expansion pack to come out that enables me to level up to 30 and get all the nice perks? and if I do crack on with the main quest (not sure if I can leave it alone until then!) - but will I waste the XP when I get it? I know on-one knows how the expansion pack will work but... opinions please anyone else got this far? I still need to find Fawkes(?) too. Branners
Im still moving through the game, level 9 now. Just got the gatling mini-gun from a Super Mutant Brute thing. Also just got a Quest to find some giant ants, so that should be fun.

Branners
I just finished that quest, they are tough little buggers Most things are getting tougher to kill now. 2 good shotgun blasts to the head used to take out most things, now its taking way more. I do like the laser pistol though when it turns them in to a smoking pile of ash. I also got the blood and guts upgrade which means things literally explode when you shoot them, but you do have to find whats left to be able to search them afterwards. Mike
I can confirm you don't get any XP points after Level 20... so no new perks after that Until the expansion pack! I'm actually going to put it down now until the expansion pack comes out. I think I probably need to give it a rest anyway!? btw if you can get Operation Anchorage, you can get the 'Gause Rifle' which has a damage rating of about 64. It can knock a Deathclaw on it's arse with one shot. If you shoot them twice in VATS from a crouch position you can actually blow them into the air, and then get another shot in before they hit the ground... very satisfying. I enjoy the violence this game waaay to much

Guest Budz86
Might have to break this out again as when I completed the last mission in quest mode, that was it! Game over and no chance to re-visit anywhere I'd missed in the wastelands!
Ian C
In Paradise Falls I finally unleashed the fury of the FatBoy launcher. My word. That combined with the Bloody Mess perk was a sight to behold

That combined with the Bloody Mess perk was a sight to behold I gave two of those bad boys to the Super Mutant Behemoth in Capital Building. Slight overkill admittedly, but that battle was over a lot sooner than he expected
