Ryan.G
A friend sent me down a set of cams which he was sold as HKS 256 cams a while back but after viewing them today im not so sure they are HKS units but Stock. I have attached some pics. Can anyone else comfirm? There are no duration markings on the end of the cam and the Hex turning part of the cams are in the stock location as well compared to them being near the end on the HKS units. Here are some pics of HKS units i found on here
Steve
IIRC the HKS cams have 'HKS' stamped on them on the shaft about halfway down.

Luka-P
They look like stock JSpecs. I wondered what the 2JT stood for when I was refitting mine.
Marty
my set of hks cams had hks stamped on them, as well as the duration. I have pic's but they are of poor quality, but you can see what you need to. I think your mate has had his pant's pulled down there.. SimonB
I don't remember my HKS cams having the duration stamped on the end like the first pic, but like the others I'm pretty sure they had HKS stamped on somewhere. I remember they had something scratched on the hex part like Marty's too. You could probably measure them with a vernier or something to get the lobe height. If you measured the narrowest point and widest of a lobe and subtract one from the other that would give you the lift.

Measured the height of the lobe at 44.32mm and then the base circle at 36.18 on No:1 Cam. So 44.32 - 36.18 = 8.14mm *runs off to check Jspec cam lifts*
Ryan.G
They are indeed Stock Cams
Steve
For future reference My J spec stock cams have 'No.1' and 'No.2' stamped on them. Also on the 'No.2' shaft, in the middle it has '2' on one side and 'JZ' on the other. That is all the markings i can see on them.
