Jay_vr6
Just been out and replaced my side lights due to thinking they were blown, this appears not to be the case also noticed that the rear fog lamp (wired in when imported and located under the bumper) no longer works either. I'm going to assume both are related as the rear fog would only come on when the sidelights were on or full lights. There is a switch located by my manual gear lever for the fogs. upon checking the wiring I find some 5 amp "house" electrical cable hanging off the switch, I cannot for the life of me find a fuse anywhere near by, the cable dissappears down the side of the tunnel on the drivers side under the carpet. Anyone have any ideas ? I'm assuming there is no other fuse in the fuse box that is anything to do with just the side lights ?

Anyone have any ideas ? I'm assuming there is no other fuse in the fuse box that is anything to do with just the side lights ? Hi Jay, Just replied to your PM. The rear fog was setup by the importer prior to my ownership of it, I guess to pass the SVA. Didn't realise there's some house electrical cabling on it! The rear foglight switch did come loose one time when a company was doing some ice work with the dash out. Have you checked the switch connectors still work ok? I have the exact same switch sat at home somewhere, so if the switch unit's gone I'm happy to post you the replacement gratis as all that happened was one terminal had come loose. As for what the fog light's wired up to I never checked out as it always served it's purpose. I assume it's got a power feed cable somewhere (hopefully not just direct from the battery) but unsure on the fuse front. Regarding the sidelight issues for anyone's further info, I have had the same issue on my UK spec and found the relay is borked. Fuse fine, switch fine, bulbs fine, just zero feed out of the relay to the lights. I've bypassed the relay for now and setup a separate one for the sidelights. I need to go down to a scrapyard and find a replacement relay, but I'll try and find part numbers for you and maybe see if Mr Manley or Nic can do a reasonable price, but not sure if it's worth it if Scrapyards or Keron etc can source them. Jay_vr6
thanks Si, I went back outside with the fuse box diagrams and stripped half the dash out, checked every fuse in the car and finally after rewiring the fog lamp and replacing a fuse all is well I must have chaffed a wire when changing the stereo recently and it kept blowing the fuse. Doh!

Doh! Phew I think that's what actually blew my sidelights fuse previously, the fog light wire being loose and shorting something if my memory is correct!
